Statement of Achievement
To close out the Sugar Experiment, you will need to return to your hypothesis statement to see if you have achieved your goals.
Once you have reached the end of your experiment, as defined by the timeframe in your initial hypothesis, you need to return to the primary outcomes in that hypothesis and see if you have achieved your goals. If you have, you can write a statement as achievement as described below and then move on to the next experiment. If you have not, then you may want to extend the length of your sugar experiment a bit longer to see if you can achieve your goals.

The Sugar Statement of Achievement
Here are some examples of statements of achievement based on the hypothesis statements in the assessment section. After 1 month on my elimination diet, I have reduced my average glucose on CGM to 100 mg/dl and I have had no glucose spikes to more than 170 mg/dl. My elimination diet excludes pasta, rice, bread, sweetened ice tea and girl scout cookies. Here is another statement for a longer term experiment. After 3 months on an elimination diet which excludes rice, mashed potatoes, 7 up and microwave burritos, I have reduced my HbA1c from 5.7 to 5.5 and reduced my body fat percentage from 26 to 21%. I have achieved the goals in my hypothesis and will plan to remain on this diet throughout the rest of the lifestyle experiment.
