How to Perform the Food Experiment

The Food Experiment is the final step in optimizing your metabolism and reducing inflammation through strategic dietary changes. By combining intermittent fasting with an anti-inflammatory diet, this experiment will help you transition to a healthier, more sustainable way of eating. Follow the steps below to track your progress and achieve measurable improvements in metabolic health.

✅  Complete the nutrition assessment and keep a food journal for 2 weeks.

✅  Start measuring your ketosis level using test strips for your urine or a breath device.  The breath device is much preferred if you can get one.

✅  Record ketosis level, daily carbohydrates, and all foods from the Lifestyle Experiment avoidance and caution lists.

✅  Consider repeating your hsCRP.

✅  Write your hypothesis statement.

✅  Initiate intermittent fasting regimen.

✅  Initiate your dietary content change.

✅  Continue food journal for 2 months with fasting and dietary change.

✅  Repeat measurements of ketosis level, dietary compliance and 

✅  Repeat any secondary measurements that you used in your hypothesis statement.
